FAQ

What is nano calcium carbonate? What are its advantages?

Nano calcium carbonate refers to calcium carbonate materials with particle sizes in the nanometer range, typically around 20 to 100 nanometers (depending on the production process). Compared to conventional calcium carbonate powders, nano calcium carbonate has a larger specific surface area and better dispersion, enabling it to provide more significant reinforcement effects within materials. Due to its extremely fine particle size, it can be more uniformly dispersed in polymer materials.

In addition, nano calcium carbonate exhibits higher activity at material interfaces, which helps improve the bonding strength between materials. Therefore, it is commonly used in high-performance plastics, rubber, and coatings. The advancement of nanotechnology has also transformed calcium carbonate from a simple filler into a functional material additive. With the continuous development of nanotechnology, nano calcium carbonate is showing broader application potential in fields such as material science, the electronics industry, and environmentally friendly materials.
