FAQ
Potassium silicate is recommended during key stages of crop growth. It strengthens plant cell walls, enhances stress tolerance, and improves resistance to diseases. Application timing may be adjusted according to crop type and growth stage based on the guidelines below:
(1) Leaf and Branch Growth Stage
Applying during periods of rapid vegetative growth promotes strong cell wall formation, resulting in thicker leaves and sturdier stems, reducing lodging and pathogen invasion.
(2) Before and After Flowering
Application around the flowering stage helps stabilize peduncles, improve pollen viability, and reduce flower or fruit drop, thereby increasing fruit set.
(3) Fruit Development Stage (from small fruit to mid-large fruit)
Potassium silicate enhances fruit skin toughness, reduces cracking, and improves photosynthesis efficiency, yielding better fruit appearance and quality.
(4) High Temperature, Drought, or Severe Pest/Disease Pressure
Applying before or after environmental stress—such as strong sunlight, heat, drought, or fungal pressure—helps boost stress resistance and reduces crop damage.
Precautions for Use
Potassium silicate has a high pH and is alkaline. Mixing with other materials is not recommended. If mixing is required, conduct a small-scale compatibility test first to avoid precipitation.
